Edmondson<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Recently I recruited Greg Stitt, who is my son, into my coaching business.<\/p>\n<p>To help me stay on top of things, I asked him to read and review some books that caught my eye.<\/p>\n<p>His first two reviews, including Coaching for the Masses are below.<\/p>\n<p>In their respective ways, the books provide entry points to coaching.<\/p>\n<p>This is relevant for Greg, because he\u2019s learning the trade, and also for me, because I\u2019m gearing up to launch a mass coaching training programme for the construction industry.<\/p>\n<p>I hope you enjoy the reviews. At the end, I ask you, the reader, for a favour.<\/p>\n<p>Take it away, Greg \u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2248\u2248\u2248\u2248\u2248\u2248\u2248\u2248\u2248\u2248\u2248\u2248\u2248\u2248\u2248\u2248\u2248\u2248\u2248<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong> Coaching for the masses<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><em> The Coaching Habit<\/em>, by Michael Bungay Stanier<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>GS writes:\u00a0<\/em>Stanier provides everyday coaching advice for managers in the workplace and anyone who needs to empower others.<\/p>\n<p>It raises seven essential questions that will help you hold effective coaching conversations, whether you\u2019re trained as a coach or not.<\/p>\n<p>Usefully, it offers life hacks on a range of issues with a nice, light touch, with references provided should you want to delve deeper.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a great introduction to coaching and directs your attention to relevant academic material.<\/p>\n<p>The techniques are easy to use, which is relevant given Michael Bungay Stanier\u2019s findings that many managers find coaching training overly theoretical and divorced from everyday life.<\/p>\n<p>I would recommend <strong>The Coaching Habit<\/strong>\u00a0by <strong>Michael Bungay Stanier <\/strong>to anyone who could benefit from developing the coaching habit.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong> A powerful case for psychological safety<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><em> The <\/em><em>Fearless Organisation<\/em>, by Amy C.
