One of the biggest problems I see is that marketing never gets done consistently or in large enough quantities.\u00a0 Coaches tell me \u201cI\u2019m on LinkedIn and I post on there once per week\u201d.\u00a0 The truth is that you might as well not bother.\u00a0 You need to be posting every day at least 3 to 15 times.<\/p>\n

Other coaches tell me that they do email marketing and they send out a quarterly newsletter.\u00a0 Again not enough.\u00a0 You need to be mailing at least fortnightly and ideally weekly.<\/p>\n

Picking up the phone is another one!\u00a0 If you want to win business, then pick up the phone and talk to people.<\/p>\n

Another big mistake is waiting for perfection.\u00a0 I have known people to write and re-write their marketing materials ten times and they are still not happy with it.<\/p>\n

Keep it simple stupid!\u00a0<\/strong> Today I listened to Frank Kern.\u00a0 Frank is one of the world’s top marketers and he was talking about a KISS marketing system that anyone can use.\u00a0 Here it is:<\/p>\n

  1. What have you got<\/li>\n
  2. What will it do for them<\/li>\n
  3. Who is it for<\/li>\n
  4. How you can prove it<\/li>\n
  5. What do they need to do next<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    There you are a simple system for you to use that really works well for putting together your:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Website pages<\/li>\n
    2. Blog posts<\/li>\n
    3. Email campaigns<\/li>\n
    4. Podcasts<\/li>\n
    5. LinkedIn profiles<\/li>\n
    6. Etc<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. Some of them don\u2019t have time to do their own marketing and they outsource it to us<\/li>\n
      2. Others just don\u2019t get this digital marketing world we live in and so I coach them<\/li>\n
      3. And a few have never really done much marketing preferring to rely on referrals to survive, but they are now looking to thrive.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
